1. The INEXPERIENCED in life can gain a craftiness
a. To ESCAPE and not just endure
b. All the dangers in life
2. And those YOUNG in life
a. Can receive insight into the true nature of issues
b. And the ability to think and act correctly
3. Young people are often eager and willing to be taught
a. Are duped into false teaching by wicked men
4. Godly instruction and wisdom
a. Is guaranteed to give shrewdness
b. Insight and discretion
5. This is not so with the wisdom of the world
a. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic (James 3:15)
6. Proverbs is designed to give us practical skills
a. We need to live a godly life
b. In a sinful world
7. It is one thing to be open-minded
a. But not to be so much so
b. That your brains fall out
