1. There are numerous books
a. Containing “wise” sayings and practical advise
2. But only the Bible puts learning
a. In the CORRECT order
3. We must first have respect
a. For God‘s character and authority
4. We must be in right relationship to God
a. For this to work CORRECTLY
5. As believers, we look to the Word in faith
a. And God blesses our obedience
b. As we follow His Word
6. Those resistant to God‘s character and authority
a. Will not look to His Word for advice
b. But will chart their own course
c. Of conduct and decision making
d. Much to their own peril
7. The following are a couple of examples
a. Of God‘s wisdom vs. that of the world
8. God‘s Word says to avoid drunkenness and morally loose women
a. But the “world” says “you only go around once in life
b. So grab all the gusto that you can”
9. God‘s Word says to avoid the wrong crowds
a. But the “world” says “sinners are much more fun”

A reverent mental attitude towards our Creator is the beginning of learning: but those who lack good judgment and common sense strongly dislike applying God’s Word to experience and view teaching as not worth their time.

FOOL’S DESPISE WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE…
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of understanding..but fools does not want to understand…he despises knowledge…he is simple, he wants simpleness in all things…but could that be?
The Lord preserve the simple but tells him to have understanding and if the simple fears the Lord…the Lord’s testimony which is sure will make him wise…to protect him from men who caused division among Christian who through good words and fair speeches deceives the simple…
