1. The child who listens to his godly parents
a. Gains virtue embellishing their moral character

Your father and mother will be like an adornment of grace to your head or like a necklace around your neck if you will obey them. In what way? The teachings of a father and the rules of a mother are inner adornments of beauty, elegance and charm outwardly displayed by the obedient soul.

1. It is one thing to TRAIN our children in a godly manner
a. But we must also WARN them
b. Of the wolves outside the door
2. There is a world of people out there
a. That do NOT have our childrenās best interests at heart
3. We must instill in our children
a. To not allow themselves to become victims of peer pressure
b. To allow themselves to be persuaded to join in evil deeds
4. One of the biggest problems you will have as a parent
a. Is the company your kids will hang around
b. When they are out of your sight
5. We must warn them of bad company
a. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them] (Eph 5:11)
b. Don’t be fooled by those who say such things (that there is no resurrection), for “bad company corrupts good character.” (1 Cor 15:33 NLT)
