1. Most of us think the actions we take are right
a. Or else we would NOT be doing them
2. I would also say that most of us
a. Think we have the best of intentions
b. For the actions that we take
3. The problem though is that we ALL
a. Can be deceived by our own reasonings
4. What WE think is pure and right
a. May stem from IMPURE motives
b. Such as pride and selfishness
5. People can fool themselves as well as others
a. But we cannot fool the Lord
6. Only the Lord can truly judge a matter
a. For only He can accurately
b. Discern our innermost motives
7. We tend to applaud the actions
a. Without too much regard
b. For the motives
8. Whereas as God searches the motives
a. Judging them to be pure or not
