1. God REALLY hates pride
a. For ALL that we ARE or HAVE
b. Is ONLY because we received it from God
2. To look down upon another
a. As if you are better than them
b. To congratulate yourself
c. For being “so smart”
d. Is an OFFENSE to God
3. To think you are a “self-made” man
a. And deserve all your wealth
b. Influence and prestige
c. Without giving glory to God
d. Is an OFFENSE
4. Even the “great deeds” accomplished by the ungodly
a. Are sinful in God‘s sight
b. For they accomplished them
c. Without giving God the glory
d. For the ability to think and work
e. But either ascribe it to themselves
f. Or give praise to FALSE gods
