And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

One Bible Commentary on Psalms 1: 3

1

The tree suggests an evergreen tree, which does not change no matter the season. The tree sustenance is secured because it is at the source of life, water. Like the tree, we can flourish and last no matter the season as long as we are plugged into the right source, the Spirit of God.
