1)Psalm 2 is a Messianic Psalm.Psalms 2,8,16,22,23,24,40,41,45,68,69,72,89,
97,102,110 &118 are the Messianic Psalms.
2)Psalm is founded on 2 Sam.7.It has been used during the celebration of
the crowning of a new king coming from the line of David.
3)Following the miracle of the healing of a lame man,the Apostles Peter & John were arrested by the religious leaders & imprisoned.On the next day,
they were released with a warning that the Gospel should not be preached.
The Apostles told the other disciples what had happened.The Church prayed earnestly to God.It was a powerful prayer.Read Acts 4 .
4)The members of the early Church prayed to God when persecution came.They prayed with faith.They believed on the Word of God & based the prayer on it.
They believed on the power of God.They quoted Psalm 2:1-2 in their prayer.

5)From the Acts of the Apostles,we find that Psalm 2 has been assigned to David,Acts 4:25.Read Acts 13:33,34.
6)Originally this Psalm might have referred to David & his successors who ruled over Judah.But this Psalm finds fulfillment in Jesus ,who is the Son of David & the Messiah prophesied by the O.T.prophets.
7)First of all supplications,prayers,intercessions & giving of thanks have to be made for all men.Read 1 Tim.2:1.It is the will of God that all men have to be saved & to come unto the knowledge of truth.Read 1 Tim.2:4.We have to pray for the salvation of all people in the world & for the preaching of the Gospel to the people of all Nations.We have to pray with concern for the Churches which are persecuted.We have to pray foe the believers who are facing opposition.God is on the THRONE.Let us PRAY!
