Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Again, as we said with verse 5, there is an unannounced speaker change (as in Psalm 2:7 and Psalm 2:10). David has resumed the speaking role and is praising God for the miracle of God making his unborn child in Bathsheba’s womb speak to him. By “Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts” he means that God has the power to search the insides of a pregnant woman and find therein a witness admissible to God’s court of law, whereby the truth may be established. Unlike men, God can admit the unborn child to the bar, to speak and witness against the criminal, and this searching out of truth in the inward parts is a great cause of praise to God. Secondly, David says “and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.” That is, that in making the unborn child speak to him and condemn adultery by his lamentation, God has caused wisdom to be taught to David from the “hidden part” or private part, from the very womb itself. Mark this great miracle of God well.
