Psalms 58: 1 Commentary

THIS IS THE QUESTION WE SHOULD ASK OURSELVES- EVERYONE OF US WHO CLAIMS TO BE BELIEVERS “Do we indeed speak righteousness?”

I am tired of going to fellowship now..probably a bit old…when you are rickety and sickly…with blurring eyesights…losing the youthfulness and energy you had once…it is quite difficult to go to fellowships.

Today when there is the false thoughts that being young and energetic seems to equate with being godly, even our churches had gone astray with such false notions. Old men who had the experienced are brushed aside and taken from position and replaced with the young ones who donot have the necessary experienced to lead well. The congregation and the pastor have forgotten the words of God to respect the elders and the hoary heads. Even in the corporate world this is the trend. Now you know why churches and corporation have gone astray from their intended purposes.

Nations that give their old men and women the respect are blessed by God even though many of these nations are pagans….because they have rightly observe the right principles. While Christian nations that have brushed aside the pinciples are suffering the ill effects of such rejection of the principles of God’s Laws!

Compare America now with Europe or Japan or Germany. Why had America slowly eroded? Is it not because women and children rules over them? Have you seen the women and children who rules over them? Are these not the women that are scantily clad? Are these not the children that plays with all their toys and electric gizmos? Where are their old people? Their old people are in the home for the aged!

While Europe despite it being the Beast grows strong? Why? See them seriously listening to the opera…serious plays…serious things…

No I am not saying this is the only cause of the going down of America as the world power. I am saying that this is one of the cause!

The NAIVE AND SELF RIGHTEOUS CONGREGATION

TheY wERE a vibrant church; with economically able families and beautiful children. Their members were quite respected of the community. And they gathered for fellowship every week and there was that poor man. He seems odd by their standard. He was dressed poorly and did not have a family. And when he spoke no one even gave a care to give attention. And he was always absent from fellowship. Some had asked why he was always absent but none really cared, all were busy with their own lives.

One zealous middle age man had always spoken against the poor man. He had judge him harshly as a man who became poor because of his own folly. He had even scolded the poor man for being always absent in their fellowship. And he had warned him about the wrath of God for people who did not love God with all their heart, while the poor man just scratch his head giving out a toothless smile; standing awkwardly amongst them. And most of the congregation had nodded in agreement of his judgement against the poor man. He was poor and was in his dire situation because he was a man who lack a relationship with God. And after a awhile the poor man died!

But that was 20 years ago. And the middle age man had now ageD himself. His teeth were incomplete now and he had a hard time showing it. He was also alone now; his wife had died and his only child went to a foreign land and had not been heard of since. And he now was poor, having retired and ONLY received a meager sum from his pension. There were days when he did not have enough money to go to church. And the church people he knew were either dead, transfered or did not go to fellowship regularly. And he felt the pain and tiredness every time he went to church; so now he had been always absent. And one man had been particularly been judgemental about him. He had accused him with all sort of painful accusation like he once did with the poor man of long ago. Now, he realized how wronged he was about the poor man and as tear fell from his eyes, he asked God to forgive him of his self righteousness and naive zeal of long ago.
