)The description of the 5th day of creation is found in Gen.1:20-23.On day 5,God created the fish of the sea & the birds of the air.Great whales were created on that day.Innumerable living creatures of the seas were created on that day.Ps.104:25.
)God blessed the fish & the birds on that day. They were given the power to reproduce after their own kind.Gen.1:22.
)Gen.2:19 tells us that God formed the birds out of the ground just as man & animals were formed.Gen.2:7,19.It is significant to note that the bodies of the animals & men have the same elements contained in the soil.It is scientifically proved only in recent times. But the Bible tells the fact in the first book itself & that too in the opening pages.
)In Gen.2:20,we find that Adam gave names to the birds of the air.Adam did not find his helpmeet among the animals & the birds.Man was different from the rest of the creation.
)Adam was given dominion over the fish of the sea & the birds of the air.Gen.1:26,28.Power was delegated to Adam to rule over the rest of the creation.
)The creation speaks of the wisdom & the power of God.Ps.04:24;Rom.1:20.
)David was puzzled when he considered the exalted & ideal position given to man in Genesis 1.He looked at the heavenly bodies of the moon & the stars. He considered the creation of animals, birds & fish.Although man seemed to be puny & insignificant, special consideration was given to him by God.Man was made as God’s vicegerent on the earth. He was placed in an exalted position of glory & honor. All things were made to be subjected to him in the original plan of God..
