One Bible Commentary on Psalms 99: 7

David Hasibuan has expressed the representitive desire which all should have-the desire to know the Bible. The best way to know the Bible is to read it, re-read it and continue to re-read it. In the begining one may not understand many things in the Bible. But the Bible is its own best intepretater.By reading and re-reading you will come to the unfolding of many things. Better to start from the begining and complete it to the last book. The Bible is the letter from our heavenly father. We read a letter from our beloved all at a time and then re-read it to fully get it. So it is with the Bible.

The Holy Spirit is its real writer and it He who can give us true understaning about the Bible. It would therefore be very much necessary to pray for help, as did David:”Open thoumine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law”(Ps.119:18)

It would be better to meditate on what we read from the Bible. “Blessed is the man…..but his delight is in the law of the law, and in his law doth he meditate day and night” (Ps.1:1-2)

It is necessary to keep what we learn from the Bible. There is no gain in reading the Bible unless it is followed by being obedience in faith to keep what it says.In fact, this is the only way to really get blessings. More light followed by more disobedience brings more darkness! So Joshua was commnaded:”This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth: but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”. (Joshua 1:8)

While it would be good to read helps about the Bible, but there is no substitute in first coming to know the content of the Bible. Surely, the Bible is a life giving and life changing book! What a gain it is to know it! God bless you!
