11 Bible Commentaries on Revelation 15: 3
Roland,
The primary thrust of Galatians is about adding works (circumcision) to the Grace of God for JUSTIFICATION. In this regard, the two ARE mutually exclusive. But I’m not talking about that. NO ONE would understand Grace without the backdrop and foundation of the Law; nor would anyone have any real hope under the Law if Grace had not been revealed. Without the hope of Grace the Law naturally leads to legalism. The Law is good. Legalism is not.
“So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law.”
If we remain under the Law after coming to Grace we are as foolish as the Galatians; for if we do, we have simply created a hybrid legalism. But this was never the intent of the Law itself.

Scott Dale (Post #8): “…Grace and Law are co-dependent…” Grace and Law are not mutually dependent on each other. That is why Paul calls the Galatians stupid in Gal. 3:1. Paul calls them “absolutely stupid” in Gal 3:3. Grace starts at the cross. Grace is complete freedom from the legalism of the Mosaic Law.
I will post some commentaries under the related verses for further discussions there.

Roland,
I don’t believe that Grace and Law are antithetical unless they are viewed strictly as means of justification. But in most other instances, Grace and Law are co-dependent. Grace means nothing without the backdrop of the Law; and the Law is incomplete without Grace.
The proper harmony is seen instantly when one understands the symbolism of the Ark of the Covenant: The Law BENEATH the Mercy Seat!

Monsieur Tiuche (Post #6): How did YOU receive the Holy Spirit? Did you receive the Holy Spirit by works? Did you receive the Holy Spirit by keeping the Law?

Roland G. Don’t try to exercise yourself in matters far beyond you! It will make a fool of you and cause you to sin…
In post where i ask you to explain things, you would not. And now here you go again trying to mumble…and put nonsense in serious things of God.

Monsieur Tiuche (Post #3): This verse refers to the great and mighty works of Almighty God, not man.

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE LAW AND GRACE
God is telling us in this verse that the redeemed of God should have the LAW and GRACE keep in their hearts…for what is in the heart comes out through the mouth.
Luke 6:45 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.
We are told to divide God’s Word aright…this is also true with Law and Grace…dividing it extremely either too much on the left or too much on the right would make us extremist. Balance is needed…especially in our understanding of this.
If we divide extremely to the LEFT we become LEGALIST; if we divide extremely to the RIGHT we become LAWLESS…grace becomes licentiousness- uncheck by God’s Standards.
This is what is happening among professing Christians; teachers who do not know this had taught people to become LEGALIST OR LAWLESS.
It is to this regard that when I teach people about the Laws of God on marriage and family, on foods and etc- as founded and detailed in the Old Testament that the EXTREME RIGHT then protest…they do not know that they are on either had become lawless or on the verge of becoming one.
So one word of advise to teachers of the Word…be careful…

THE REDEEMED OF GOD SINGS TWO SONGS…while those who want to be teachers of the law, who do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm, TELL US THAT IT IS ONLY ONE SONG.
All they want to sing is GRACE…AMAZING GRACE while forgetting the Law. They always try to make it appear that those who want to sing of the Law rejects grace. They never understand that the Law and Grace must be balance lest the songs will be out of tune!
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.John 1:17.
They do not know that the Law and Testimony should be sealed among Jesus disciples!
Isaiah 8:16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.
If they refuse, the scriptures says of them:
Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them

Here we have the reference to the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb. But the contents of these songs are given in VV. 3-4. The contents states that God is worthy of all worship as He is great, mighty and Just and has done works of justice. What is Justice? A judge condemns the gulity and pronouces punishment on him and also aquit the one who is not guilty and let him go free. God punihses the enemy and frees His people by virtues of their faith on His son. His people are redeemed and delivered. He saved His people by the hand of Moses from the bondage of Egypt and He also saves His people from their sins by the hand of His dear Son, the lamb of God. Both these songs are therefore the songs of redemption. Naturally, God is worshipped with these songs!

THE LAW IS UNDER GRACE OR IN SCOTT DALE WORD” The Law BENEATH the Mercy Seat!”
An apt term…or the law and grace in our hearts with grace being given more weight than the Law. Or as the Bible States:
Matthew 12:7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless…
