Tiuche,

Yes, I agree that there is often misunderstandings regarding the identities of the biological descendents of Jacob. In general, I find the term “Jew” is commonly understood to mean all the biological descendents of Jacob but I know that even among Jews, this is not a settled matter. And if we call them “Israelites” that could include Arabs and other ethnicities as well. And if we SPIRITUALIZE the term, we can muddy it up even more. And what about the 10 Lost Tribes??

I rest in the fact that God knows who is and who is not a true descendent of Jacob and when He calls them out from among all nations, everyone who is supposed to be there will be there. While we’re at it, this is the same pattern (type) that Jesus will use to call out His true disciples from the earth at the time of the rapture.

Scott Dale:

It is a mistake that the term Israel refers only to the Jews. The term Israel refers to the all the descendants of Jacob composed of twelve tribes. The Jews are from the one tribe of Judah and/or the House of Judah which was composed of some from the tribe of Levi, the tribe of Benjamin and from the tribe of Judah.

Note that Israel divided into two House during the time of the son of KIng Solomon…it was divided into the House of Israel (w/10 tribes) and the House of Judah (composed of two tribes w/ some Levites).

The House of Israel(in Samaria) was destroyed and removed from the Promise Land in more or less about 721 B.C. and were scattered while the remaining HOuse of Judah (in Jerusalem) were also later destroyed and removed…

The House of Israel were scattered with the Tribe of Dan (Taatha de Daanites) as their marker of the lands they settled in Sweden, Denmark(Kongeriget Danmark)…toward Britain and to North America….numbering to more than* 800 millions people today…

While the House of Judah who number into only *30 millions or less living in different countries and the which in 1948 a state was given made for them naming it as Israel…

The truth of the matter is Israel is also as the stars of the heavens …like as the sand of the sea….and today they possessed the GATES OF THEIR ENEMIES but God is taking it away from them one by one because of their sins-especially their major sins…

This is one of the key to Bible prophecy…when one is ignorant of this truth…then one will be mislead from fully appreciating the Word of God!

Tiuche,

By the term “Israel” I mean National Israel. The prophecy of Ezekiel 38 and 39 is all about the destruction of the Nation of Israel not unlike the situation that has existed since 1948.

Regarding the “Lost Tribes”, that is a separate matter. There are no Lost Tribes nations or peoples of the sons of Jacob. At the time of Ezekiel 38 and 39 ALL living Jews will be in the Promised Land of Israel. God himself will bring them home in much the same way that He delivered ALL of them from the hand of Pharoah. This is a profound aspect of the last days that often gets marginalized. (See Ezekiel 20:32-44)

The entire dispute regarding the 10 Lost Tribes is fundamentally a useless diversion. Satan has one goal concerning the Jews: Destroy them all and take their land.

But God also has a goal in mind: Return ALL faithful Jews to their Land of Promise! God will neither forfeit one square inch of Promised Land nor forsake one faithful child of Jacob!!

Scot Dale:
By the term “Israel” do you mean the Nation of Israel? Or are there any “Lost Tribes” nations that is included in your term?

Tiuche, (post 5)

“Do you think that the breaking of the bow of Israel would synchronize with the battle of Armageddon?”

It’s possible, but I don’t think so. I believe that the battle of Armageddon is not for the purpose of humbling Israel, but for the purpose of rescuing Israel (Romans 11:26).

However, Israel IS due for a great humbling as a nation. It is all part of God’s plan to bring Israel back to Himself. The humbling under Hitler and the Holocaust only returned Israel to a love of The Land. It will take something far greater (worse) than another Hitler to turn Israel to a love of The Lord.

Hosea 1:5 could certainly be part of that humbling process in the latter days. Perhaps this verse is speaking of the same thing that Isaiah 17 is talking about which suggests the breaking of Israel’s pride in the latter days. I personally believe that the prophecy of Isaiah 17 could occur in the very near future. The stage is already well set for it.

Scot Dale:
You confirm that the Ezekiel 38 & 39 Gog in the Lsnd of Magog is set during the “Battle of Armageddon….

In Hosea God says that He will break the BOW OF ISRAEL in the valley of Jezreel- Hosea 1:5. Jezreel & Megiddo (Har Megiddo) are side by side with each other….Do you think that the breaking of the bow of Israel (whoever are the nations of His modern descendants) would synchronize with the battle of Armageddon?

Tiuche,

Yes, the timing of Ezekiel 38 and 39 is Gog and Magog opposing Christ at his second coming.

Revelation 20 has Gog and Magog opposing Christ at the end of his millennial reign just prior to the new heaven and earth. There is 1,000 years between the two events.

Gog and Magog are Satan and antichrist.

Scot Dale:
Please acknowledge if you agree that the time setting for the Gog and Magog in the Book of Revelation20;8 IS be after the 2nd Coming and after the 1000 years reign of Jesus Christ…

You say that the time setting for the Gog & Magog in Ezekiel 38 & 39 is the Battle of Armageddon….you mean that the time setting for this is different from that the time setting of Gog & Magog mentioned in the book of revelation 20:8?

Tiuche,

“Anyone knows when is the time setting for Ezekiel 38 & 39?”

Ezekiel 38 and 39 is the battle of Armageddon. There is much evidence to this conclusion. Compare Revelation 19 when Christ comes to Ezekiel 39. This is only one bit of evidence, but it’s a strong one. There are many more.

And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great.” Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army.., and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh. (Revelation 19:17-21)

“Son of man, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Call out to every kind of bird and all the wild animals: ‘Assemble and come together from all around to the sacrifice I am preparing for you, the great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel. There you will eat flesh and drink blood. You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth as if they were rams and lambs, goats and bulls–all of them fattened animals from Bashan. At the sacrifice I am preparing for you, you will eat fat till you are glutted and drink blood till you are drunk. At my table you will eat your fill of horses and riders, mighty men and soldiers of every kind,’ declares the Sovereign LORD. (Ezekiel 39:17-20)

GOG AND MAGOG interesting bible characters that their symbolical figures are in the Royal Arcade in Melbourne Australia.

Who are Gog and Magog & the many people with them?
Some had identified them with the Scythian.the Mongols, the Romans, the Saracens & etc. However in Ezekiel 38:2 it say that Gog, the land of Magog, chief prince of TuBal and Meschech..and in Ezekiel 38:15 it say, (Gog) shall come from his place from the north part…This give us an idea is Tubal & Meschech present day Tobolsk and Moscow in Russia? The Scythian live in the Russian steppes and may have been misidentified with them…
Gog is confederate with Persian (Modern Iran), Ethiopia, Libya & many others…In Revelation some commented that Gog and Magog here symbolizes all people who does not know God who will be living on earth near the end of the Millennium.

When would Gog and Magog gather for battle in Revelation 20:8?
I do not know the time setting for Ezekiel 38 & 39, I had not studied them well.
But in Revelation 20:8 the time setting is after the ONE THOUSAND YEARS REIGN OF JESUS ON EARTH (the Millennium)…(see verses 5-10).so i don’t worry about this!

Anyone knows when is the time setting for Ezekiel 38 & 39?
