David, (post #1)

Thank you for this offering of insight. It is most profound!! It hammers home the point that all the glories and powers that God the Son possessed by virtue of his authority as Creator; though relinquished at His incarnation, are now firmly in His possession once again- but this time, as a MAN!

BTW: If you are new here; WELCOME!

Revelation 5:12 brings us to the enthronement of the Lamb (which has taken away the sins ofthe world). This beyond all else is what Christ came to do, being the Lamb slain from the foundation of the earth. Now he must open the seven seals, which no one else could open, and the 4 creatures, and 24 elders, and numerous angels, and ransomed throng extol the virtues that permit the Christ to pen the seven seals. These virtues are found in one who became obedient unto death by making himself of no reputation. He who was fully man and fully God died as a lamb, yet when God cannot die unless he had laid own his life himself, and thus becoming fully man with all the incumbent risk of being separated from his deity under the wrath of sin. Sensibly then he must recieve from the Father again all things he laid down for the cause of man’s redemption, and for the renewal of hope in the world. The seven seals then provided the moment for ascription of praise to ther seven virtues of the deity recoverd in the Lamb that was slain:power, and riches and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.
Power for all power is given unto him to lay down his life and to take it up again in triumph over death and sin which he had not made in his purpose.
Riches because he who has become heir to all things is ultimately to be King of Kings and Lord of Lord, entitled to all his dominion again.
Wisdom for he is the omniscient whose eyes could not see through the darkness of the cross, but now behold past, present, and future again and see the the victory of his eath that unite again his creation with his will.
Strength because his union with his father’s will completed his purpose and provided him worthily all the omnipotence of the Godhead again.
Honour is what shall make every knee bow and every tongue confes the Lordship of Christ, in that he love so completely that he died formthose who lived in enmity and rebellion to him, seeking their good to the end.
Glory because he is manifested to be God, for only God can lay down his life and take it up again. Only a creator can be a redeemer. He who took upon himself the form of a man that he might die for mankind, is one with the father again, recovering that oneness he had with deity in the begginning.
Blessings because his joy is fulfilled in our love for him and our love for those he redeemed, for it is from this love that true worship rises as a demonstration of our spontaneous conformity to his will.
There are three categories of worshippers giving seven categries of praise that has four dimensions towards earth (the center of the new kingdom) and three dimensions toward heaven (the repository and origin of the everlasting kingdom). It is Christ’s death alone that make this praise meaningful, and make the sinner’s love fervent in repentance and obedience.
