Paul, a slave of Jesus Christ!!! To be a slave of anyone was the worst imaginable state for any Jew, much less a Pharisee and an ex-member of the inner circle of the Jewish ruling class. How difficult it would be to admit the shame of it to anyone, yet Paul boasts of his status with out Lord. Our presidents of all time have never admitted to even being a servant of the people, yet here is one of the greatest intellects of his day saying “I love being a slave of Jesus”. Oh,to be that submissive to Christ, worth all of the gold, silver and precious jewels on earth.
