For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

There is ONLY ONE GOD, ONE WAY TO BELIEVE, ONE GOD’S VOICE, ONE WAY OF GODLY TEACHINGS, AND ONE WAY TO WORSHIP. And when that happens were everyone is in ONE ACCORD…..LOOK OUT….. For paul says it best in 1 corinthians 2:4-5…. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the SPIRIT and of POWER; That your FAITH should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the POWER OF GOD. AMEN!!!!!!

We can better understand this text in the context of what Paul states in the succeeding verses 4-9. He has in mind the different gifts given according to the grace to each of the members of the Body-the church of God. Paul tells how the gift of prophesy, ministry and teaching are to be carried out in proportion to the faith one has and that the exortation be done in simplicity and that mercy be shown with love etc. The lession is that the gifts should not lead one to being puffed up, but used with all humility of mind. Again, each member should accept the limitation he has in the Body. He should do for what he has been equipped, as part of his reasonable service to the Lord.
