7 Bible Commentaries on Romans 7: 3
You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.

verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Re post 3, Tiuche STANDARDS CHANGE. Jesus told us no to obey some of the laws of Moses and the Church today tells us to do things that Jesus never taught us. Nothing is a steady state.

Tiuche, your post #7 on Matt. 7:13 is where you misquoted Matt. 6:24, as I noted in the post right after yours.
The accepted practice that “the husband belongs to the wife in the same sense that the wife belongs to her husband” is not rooted in the Bible. It’s an evolvement from the teachings of the OT and of the NT, which don’t always agree with each other, either. Like everthing else, teachings and mores evolve, but you seem stuck in the era of Moses.

THE MISCONCEPTION OF ALMOST THE WHOLE WORLD EVEN IN THOSE THAT BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE is that the husband belongs to the wife in the same sense that the wife belongs to her husband; BUT HOW WRONG THEY ARE! A married man who adds another (eligible )woman as a wife never commits adultery. The Bible tells us that the husband is the Lord of her wife and she belongs to him! If we understand the relationship of Jesus with His church and it’s parallel with the believers we would see roman 7:3 clearly! See my post #7 on Matthew 7:13.

IS THIS A RIGHT THOUGHT?”So then if, while [his] wife liveth, he be married to another woman, he shall be called an adulterer: but if his wife be dead, he is free from that law; so that he is no adulterer, though he be married to another woman.”
IF you answer yes! Then you donot really understand your bible. You understand Romans 7:3 like the majority does. so you think the majority is right? If you answer yes! Then you are still wrong again!
