4 Bible Commentaries on Romans 8: 1
God removes the sentence of doom to the Lake of Fire from those who receive Jesus as Savior. At the moment of faith alone in Christ alone, believers are in union with Christ and eternally secure. Believers who walk after the flesh suffer loss, but God saves them (1 Cor. 3:15).

Just as in John 3:18 (Whoever believes in Him is not condemned), there is no condemnation for those who are “in Christ.” The verse does not imply that there is no condemnation for only Christians who are achieving a certain level of Godly conduct. It is not likely that this person would need such a verse of comfort and encouragement. No, this is for the encouragement of the person who is struggling as recorded in the previous chapter, “what a wretched man I am!” Romans 8:9 says that we are not controlled by the sinful nature but by the Spirit if the Spirit of Christ lives in us. It is the fullness of such grace that declares us free from condemnation that leads us to Godliness.

While there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ who walk after the Spirit, the clear implication is that there is condemnation to them who walk after the flesh. This condemnation is necessary because the Scripture say “no good thing dwells in our flesh” and that “they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” The flesh is like an old dilapidated building that is not fit for any habitation because it is irreparably corrupt. The old nature has a sign over it labeled “condemned.”
Though redeemed by the atoning blood of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, predestined by Almighty God as His chosen elect, a bride who will appear without spot or blemish, the old man will struggle but the Lion of Judah will prevail!

NO CONDEMNATION FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS WHO WALK AFTER THE flesh?
Some have glossed over the words in Romans 8: 1: “who walk not after the flesh” thus have twisted this into “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the spirit, but after the flesh.”
Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
So I sing ” YIELD TO THE SPIRIT HE HAS THE RIGHT OF WAY…LISTEN AND HEAR IT….WE MUST OBEY!” “TO OBEY IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE…”
