a. With an alabaster complexion
3. She did NOT live her life
a. Comparing herself to the city gals
b. To see if she measured up to them
4. She thought SHE was beautiful
a. And had a HEALTHY self-image
b. Regardless of the trends of the day
5. We unfortunately have FAR too many
a. Girls today looking to celebrities
b. For standards on WHAT is beautiful
6. Sure, if we all had 8 hours a day to exercise
a. Along with a personal trainer
b. To monitor our diet
c. And $100,000 for plastic surgery
7. We too could look JUST like them
a. But that is NOT real life
b. For the vast majority of us
8. There is NOTHING wrong
a. With wanting to LOOK great
b. And taking appropriate steps
c. To get to that point
9. But in the end it is CHARACTER that counts
a. Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised (Pro 31:30 NLT)
