God’s brings us to the banquet of his love, reminscent of a great banqueting hall large and full of good good things to feel our stomachs and to delight our eyes. Most grand banqueting halls are sumptiously decorated, lavish in their adornment. The food plentiful and varied. When we look to the rafters of this hall there we see the martial banners of our King. We can take comfort that we are protected during our feast. A feast just for us. How wide and broad is our Lord’s love for us, how overshadowing his protection. A Banner of love over our heads as we feast on the rich things the Lord has for us. Our Lord, our lover has brought us to enjoy a feast of good thing, and we are canopied by love and protection.
